Torsion Balance Reduces Weighing Time
Weighings now can be made with 60 per cent savings in time with the Dial Balance states the Torsion Balance Co., Clifton, N.J. The firm unconditionally guaranteed the dial mechanism when it retained its original accuracy after more than a million weighings.
The dial is graduated from zero to one gram by 10 milligram (.01 gram.) graduations. The sensibility reciprocal will be 10 milligrams; i.e., 10 milligrams will move the rest point one index division. The balance is oil-damped to minimize oscillation and greatly facilitaces the weighing operation by permitting rotation of the dial without arresting the pans.
The Dial Balance is aviable in two models. DLT2 has a capacity of 120 grams and a sensiblity reciprocal of 10 milligrams. DLT2-1 has the same specifications but is equipped with a polished stainless steel scoop for bulky material. The metal case has a corrosion resistant gray finish constructed to exclude dust and chemicals. The hinged lid is 2 3/4 inches high with a glass front and top. The unit measures 11 1/2 x 6 x 8 1/4 inches.
